Water activities at Ellerton Park
About 6.5 miles from Moulton Village is the fantastic Ellerton Water Park quoted as the "cleanest lake in the North of England". If you are a water baby and just love to be in it or around it, then this is the place to be. The park allows open water swimming, sailing, paddle boarding, Kayaking, Canoeing, and Scuba Diving.
The 60 acre lake is a fresh water lake in Ellerton on Swale not far from the market towns of Richmond and Northallerton, North Yorkshire.
The park is open from 9am till 4pm and closes the gates at 5pm. Always worth checking their website for any changes throughout the year.
Those who take part in Triathalons are welcome and if you fancy some tuition, you can book an appointment with a qualified instructor.
Dogs or spectators are not allowed at the park, so if you have family who want to take part in some activities , then you can always pop along to the lovely EllertonLakesideCafe. We love to support local businesses where possible and have collaborated with this great veteran owned cafe ,where our guests receive a 10% discount on their meals. Dogs are welcome too both inside and out.
They do some scrumptious homemade scones and other home bakes and we heard their Sunday lunches are packed out, so if you fancy a Yorkshire Pudding or two its probably best to book in advance.
The cafe has an extensive farm shop on site with lots of Yorkshire goodies sourced from local businesses in the area and also Yorkshire, from Jams, chutneys and cheeses.
